Dr. Stevens’ clinical interests include complex mental health and diabetes management, LGBTQ care, and providing primary care to underserved individuals in community clinics. She has particular interests in the intersection of medical complexity and mental health cases, with an emphasis in the medical management of eating disorders. Dr. Stevens currently works as resident physician at Kartini Clinic, a partial hospital and intensive outpatient treatment center for pediatric and adolescent eating disorders, as well as offering outpatient medical nutrition therapy (MNT). In addition to this, she maintains a private practice in NW Portland, where she offers primary care for those with eating disorders and complex mental health conditions, adjunct medical management of eating disorders, and psychiatric medication management and prescribing.
Dr. Stevens’ interest in eating disorders began as she researched the comorbidity of substance abuse and eating disorders while earning her BS in Nutrition and Health Sciences at OSU. Since then, she has worked at various levels of care for eating disorder treatment and is passionate about both the early identification and treatment of eating disorders, as well as bridging the step-down to outpatient from a higher level of care nd frequently offers adjunct medical management during this transition.
In the time she spares, Dr. Stevens enjoys hiking with her partner and pets, participating in triathlons, and on rainy days can be found baking or crafting.
